Frustrated by the violence and drug abuse which surrounds her in Atlanta, Sylvia Dorsey departs on a soul-searching mission to Ghana with a group of teenage travelers. Confronted with the challenges of the living conditions in Ghana, the teens challenge their misconceptions about both Africa and African-Americans. Tonight’s event features a marketplace with Diasporic cuisine and an Afrobeat DJ. Panel discussion with Ras Tre Subira, and live reggae by Proverbs and guests follows. Dinner sold sep.
