Take 5 with Screenwriter/Scriptreader Rob Pawloski

Originally from Baltimore, Rob’s been working in L.A. for 12 years and has read and evaluated well over 2000 screenplays as both a staff and freelance reader for such companies as Polygram Films, New Regency, Fine Line, Miramax and Warner Independent. He works consistently re-writing and polishing screenplays for producers in Hollywood and abroad, and has several of his own feature projects in development. 1. What’s the last movie you loved and what was the last movie that felt like a waste of time and money?

Loved: Lars and the Real Girl. Waste: Transformers

2. What’s your guilty pleasure movie or TV show?

I'm never guilty about movies, but with TV, I've been caught watching Dancing with the Stars

3. How’d you get into filmmaking?

First by loving movies and feeling passionate about them, then through film school (UMBC), then through hard work.

4. What’s your fave piece of gear?

My MacBook

5. What’s the one thing you’d warn a new filmmaker NOT to do on their first film?

Star in it.
