SEEKING EIGHT ACTORS
Casting to be done week of the 18
Gold Marketing Group, an event company in Minneapolis is looking to hire some actors for an event that are presenting in Baltimore on February 12 and 13. We are looking for 8 actors, four men and four women. We are looking for people aged 25-45, no race restrictions. We would need them both Friday and Saturday for 8 hours per day.

A little about the event: The costumed actors will be hanging out in heavily trafficked areas of Baltimore, hip locales, coffee shops, the harbor, etc. acting as typical couples. Due to the nature of the costumes (a bird and a bee) the public will ask “what’s going on here?” The actors will then provide a few key messages and information regarding our client’s project, (which has to do with fertility options). Actors won’t have to do a lot of speaking as we have informational cards that they will hand out with more specific information.

Tonite! 1/23 Cabinet of Dr. Caligari w/ new score by Darsombra vs. Ala Muerte

Silent Sounds: Cabinet of Dr. Caligari
w/ live score by Darsombra vs. Ala Muerte

Sat Jan 23, 7pm.
$10, $8 mbrs, stus.

Darsombra (Brian Daniloski) vs. Ala Muerte (Bianca Bibiloni) is one part sinister accompaniment and two parts sonic death duel! Mixing hypnotic, mutilated guitar loops with layers of vocals, ranging from ethereal to guttural, Daniloski and Bibiloni channel every tense and depraved nuance of Robert Wiene’s influential German expressionist film.

Check out Brian's interview on The Signal here!

Darsombra is the solo project of Baltimore's Brian Daniloski. As Darsombra, he has released several critically acclaimed records on the Public Guilt label, toured the US numerous times, and has recently introduced the UK and France to his particular brand of apocalyptic dronescape.

Ala Muerte, also on Public Guilt, is the moniker used by New York's Bianca Bibiloni. While she has also toured the US and EU, Bibiloni has most recently performed in the Gloucester New Arts Festival in Massachusetts and will be appearing in the upcoming Eve of New Year's Eve Festival commemorating the two hundredth birthday of occult artist Austin Osman Spare.

In addition to various joint performances throughout the years, Daniloski and Bibiloni collaborated on the score to the Baltimore Shakespeare Festival's production of Hamlet this past summer.

Tonight! 1/14/10 Rahne Alexander Artist Talk

Photo of Event or Program Item Rahne Alexander Artist Talk & Screening
in conjunction with CAmm A/V CART Exhibition

Screening and Artist Talk Thu Jan 14, 7pm in CAmm Media Lab. Exhibition on view Jan 9 –Feb 25
$5

Rahne Alexander summons Hollywood's subconscious obsessions to the surface using found footage: cinema’s most-used line, a catalog of yawns, a history film protagonists’ reactions to gender-variant bodies, human despair in the face of natural disaster. Alexander's film collages have been screened in galleries and festivals across the country, including Freewaves (LA), MIX (NYC), Threat Level (Chicago), Homoscope (Austin) and Trannyfest (SF). She co-founded the garage rock band The Degenerettes and is also an organizer with Baltimore's Transmodern art festival, the Charm City Kitty Club and the Maryland Film Festival.
